WAIS - an app for brainstorming
Overview
WAIS is a structured thinking tool designed to streamline team ideation. Born from our own frustrations with the design process, we set out to bridge the gap between "thinking" and "doing."
Our research—covering 20+ teams and 20+ experts across product dev, R&D, and HR—revealed a critical bottleneck: over 50% of teams spend more time stuck in ideation than they do on execution. Furthermore, 4 out of 5 professionals reported a distinct lack of guidance during the design phase. We built WAIS to provide that missing structure, transforming aimless brainstorming into effective, actionable results.

The challenge
Since we were inspired by Six Thinking Hats method, the primary challenge was how to implement and make the flow both clear and intuitive for the user, especially for those who has never practiced Six Thinking Hats method before, so we can lessen the cognitive load of the ideation process. The product required structured multi-round workflows, role-based session control, also a database architecture that supports idea generation and iterative feedback. Designing it means balancing UX clarity, system logic, and behavioral dynamics within a team setting.
